The Winter Event 2024-2025 was an event that released on December 13th, 2024, at 3:00 PM PST, with a four-week duration, ending on January 10th, 2025, at 3:05 PM PST. This event was the game's fifth Winter Event and featured three new event creatures, alongside the return of exclusive creatures, plushies, and palettes from previous Winter Events. Also, the exclusive mutation, Frostburn, was re-released one week prior to the event, while Coal Chunk was re-released on December 13th, 2024, alongside the event.
Additionally, Winter Spotlight was released as a collaborative event on December 17th, 2024, around 9:00 AM PST, and ran alongside this event until January 2nd, 2025, around 12:00 PM PST. Players were able to participate and complete its missions to obtain the Winter Spotlight Main Token and Winter Spotlight Elite Token badges.
Advent Calendar[]
On November 29th, 2024, at 3:04 PM PST, the Advent Calendar was added to the game as an additional daily login reward system for the month of December. At the bottom of the calendar was a timer counting down to when it starts. On November 30th, 2024, at 8:49 PM PST, servers were rebooted to enable the Advent Calendar, with the first reward becoming available at 9:00 PM PST. At that time, there was what seemed to be a bug that caused a small window to appear at the right side of the calendar, stating that the player had missed a day and could pay a fee of 49 Robux to claim the reward, despite it being the first day. However, players were still able to claim the first day's reward for free, and the window did not appear the next day for them.
The Advent Calendar offers a special reward each day for 25 days, with most prizes hidden behind a present icon until their corresponding day arrives, while a few items can be seen in advance. Players can log in to receive these special rewards, but to claim them, they must first complete a set of region missions. By claiming rewards on consecutive days, players can build a streak that increases the initial currency reward boost of x1 by 0.1 each time. This reward boost applies only to the Advent Calendar and not minigames. If a streak is broken, it can be restored for a fee of 50 Robux. Players can also reclaim rewards for 49 Robux each, and as mentioned earlier, if a player missed a day, they can catch up by paying the same fee ( 49 Robux) for that day. A timer is displayed at the bottom of the calendar to show when the next reward will become available, which is at 9:00 PM PST every day.
When players reach Day 11 on the calendar, the fee to reclaim rewards or catch up by one day increases to 79 Robux. On Day 21 on the calendar, this fee increases again to 99 Robux. A few days later, a small patch removed the region mission requirements to unlock Advent Calendar rewards for the final two days, allowing players to claim the rewards instantly. After the 25th day of December, players could no longer claim rewards from the Advent Calendar, even if they had started late. Despite this, the calendar remained accessible until the end of the event.

Minigames[]
The Winter Event added several minigames which can be used to gather Candy Canes or other rewards. While within the minigame areas (excluding the Present Delivery, Snowman Breaking, and Yeti Bossfight minigames), a certain amount of minigame status effect of "Passive Mode" is given to players. This status effect allows jumping but disables damage, growth, hunger and thirst depletion, active abilities, stamina depletion, and prevents laying down.
Costume Clash[]
The Costume Clash or Costume Contest minigame was added in part 1 of the event. It is located in Central Rockfaces and requires ≥ 2 creatures to join in order to begin. Players receive a stack of 5 minigame status effect upon entering the minigame's circle (which also includes disabling sitting, flying, and gliding). Every 30 minutes, the minigame starts a new round and randomly selects a theme, which includes Penguin, Winter Fairy, Reindeer, Gingerbread Man, Santa Claus, Yeti, Nutcracker, Snowman, Elf, and Christmas Tree. If they choose to, players can create a skin in the customization menu based on that particular theme. Once they have finished, they can wait in the minigame's circle to be teleported to their red carpet platforms. Within the minigame, players will have 2 minutes to view other participants and vote with 1-to-3-star ratings based on how much they like the skin. After the contest ends, players are teleported back to the minigame's circle and shown the results.
The person in first place will receive 150 Candy Canes, the person in second place will receive 125 Candy Canes, and the person in third place will receive 115 Candy Canes. All other participants will receive 100 Candy Canes, regardless of their placement. If all participants don't vote or two or more participants get the same score, the game will automatically decide their placement. There's also a small chance of obtaining the Sleighbell Palette. Players also receive a stack of 5 minigame status effect upon entering the minigame's circle.
Except for different minigame decoration, everything else is exactly the same as the Halloween Event 2024's Costume Clash.
Dodgeball[]
The Dodgeball minigame was introduced in part 2 of the event. It is located in Pride Rocks and requires ≥ 2 creatures to join in order to begin. Tier 1 (Tiny) and Tier 5 (Enormous) creatures are not allowed to participate. Participants are determined by those creatures standing inside the minigame's green circle, which grants them a stack of 5 minigame status effect (which also includes disabling sitting, flying, and gliding). The cooldown seems to fluctuate between 3 to 5 minutes, possibly depending on weather players are actively playing the game or not.
Once the minigame begins, it teleports the creatures from the circle to the area surrounding Pride Rocks' pond. A hidden barrier is activated around the area to prevent players from moving too far away. Participants can pick up snowballs from the snowpiles within the area and throw them at each other until all other participants have lost or the 2-minute timer runs out. In front of the snowball is a green beam which indicates its trajectory. Each creature has 3 lives/hits before losing the minigame. Above the creature is a white rhombus-shape icon, which vanishes if the creature loses all their lives, signifying they are out of the game. Successfully hitting a player with a snowball gives 1 point each time. Players who have lost the game can leave the area, but will get teleported back to the minigame's circle along with other participants once the match is over.
The minigame rewards 150 Candy Canes for the person in first place, 125 Candy Canes for the person in second place, and 115 Candy Canes for the person in third place. All other participants will receive 100 Candy Canes. [Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Present Delivery[]
The Present Delivery was added in part 1 of the event. Players can obtain either Red, Green, or White presents from beneath Christmas trees located in the Desert (2 trees), Flower Cove, Mesa (2 trees), Redwoods (3 trees), Tundra (3 trees), and Pride Rocks, and deliver them to their respective colored sleighs. Gifts can be viewed in the player's inventory under Misc Items tab. Upon delivery, specific sleighs give a certain amount of Candy Canes and chances to drop a Sturbi species.
- The red sleigh can be found south of Central Rockfaces, near the Mesa biome, has a two-gift capacity, will reward 15 Candy Canes and a 0.5% chance to drop a Sturbi when completed, and has a three-minute cooldown.
- The green sleigh can be found in the Jungle, has a three-gift capacity, will reward 25 Candy Canes and a 1% chance to drop a Sturbi when completed, and has a five-minute cooldown.
- The white sleigh can be found on the Flower Cove, has a five-gift capacity, will reward 35 Candy Canes and a 5% chance to drop a Sturbi when completed, and has a fifteen-minute cooldown.

Snowman Breaking[]
The Snowman Breaking minigame was added in part 1 of the event. Snowmen that are highlighted can be found in Pride Rocks, Tundra, Mountains, Mesa, Forgotten Shores, and Volcano Island. Players can interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) with these snowmen nodes and complete a short minigame to break them. In the minigame, a wheel is spun, and players must click on the correct zones to fill a completion bar.
- Red zones fill half the bar.
- White zones fill a quarter of the bar.
- Dark zones will deplete a quarter of the bar.
The speed of the wheel will randomly change with each click. Once the bar is filled, the snowman will break, and 3 Candy Canes will be rewarded regardless of performance, as well as a 0.25% chance for a Nachtskinhren species drop. [Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Snowball Fight[]
The Snowball Fight minigame was introduced in part 1 of the event and is located in Forgotten Shores. Players can (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) with Mylo, who is sitting atop a pile of snow, to initiate the minigame or (G or Click/Tap screen on respective G pop-up on Mobile) to receive a small explanation of how the minigame works. Upon starting, participants receive a stack of 20 minigame status effect (which also includes enabling sitting, flying, and gliding) and will have 3 seconds to prepare. Afterwards, 5 randomly placed targets will spawn in front of Mylo, which must be hit with snowballs before the 1-minute timer runs out. Targets are client-sided, meaning each player has their own set of targets to hit.
Snowballs can be picked from any snowball pile, with two conveniently located near Mylo. As with pretty much any other snowball from snowpiles (except in the Dodgeball minigame), a Snowball Power bar appears at the bottom of the screen that automatically fills or unfills itself to indicate the power of the throw. Also, a beam is seen in front of the snowball, indicating its trajectory as well as changing colors, with red representing low power and green representing high power.
Completing the activity rewards 35 Candy Canes and may rarely grant a Minty Wiggler Plushie. The minigame has a cooldown of 180 seconds (3 minutes)[1], unless time runs out before hitting all the targets, in which case no cooldown will be applied, and no rewards nor penalties will be given. [Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Yeti Bossfight[]
The Yeti Bossfight minigame was added in part 2 of the event and has a cooldown of 5 minutes. Located high in the sky, players need to interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) with a portal located in Central Rockfaces to enter the Icy Grotto arena and join the oncoming battle against the Yeti boss, which was first introduced during the Winter Event 2023-2024. While inside the arena, the boss fight status effects of 50% stamina regeneration and "Boss Mode" are applied, in which growth, PvP damage, hunger and thirst are disabled. Creatures can leave the arena at any time before the next battle begins by interacting with the exit portal. During a battle, both portals will be closed, and participants have 8 minutes to defeat the boss.
The boss targets one player at a time, but any other players caught in its attacks will also be affected. Its health is based on the number of players in the arena and the current stats of their creatures, while its damage is based on the percentage of a creature's health. If more players are present in the arena, the boss will take more damage from breath attacks than physical attacks.
While this is the same boss used in the Winter Event 2023-2024, there are some differences in behaviour, arena aesthetics, and boss entrance portal decorations.
The boss follows three phases:
- Phase 1, Yeti: When the boss spawns, it is invincible for the first few seconds before performing its attack. As soon as the first telegraphed attack appears, it is no longer invincible. During this phase, it has three attacks: slam, where it slams its hands onto the ground; rush, where it charges forward and uses it tusks; and earthquake, where it repeatedly slams its hands onto the ground. Each attack is telegraphed by either a red or gold circle or a red rectangle that appears on the ground. Be particularly careful of the Yeti's rush and earthquake attacks, as getting hit by either of them deals major damage, and getting hit inside the yellow circle during the earthquake attack will fling the player away.
- Phase 2, THE ICE YETI: During this phase, the Yeti roars and puts up a shield, becoming unhurtable, and summons two wyverns—Frost Wyvern and Flame Wyvern. While these two are yet to be defeated, the Yeti goes back to the center of the arena, remaining encased in its shield. It may very rarely throw a single ice shard attack towards an opponent if they are too far away from the wyverns. The Yeti also has a collision active for wyverns, so they may get stuck on the boss while trying to reach the opposite side of the arena.
- Meanwhile, the wyverns will move around the arena, attacking creatures. Both have their own two phases: the initial phase, where they remain grounded and use mid- to short-range melee attacks, either lunging forward or performing a bite attack—both of which are mostly telegraphed; and a second phase, where they become airborne and start using ranged projectiles that inflict shredded wings and stunned effects, which disables flight and abilities upon impact:
- The Frost Wyvern applies the frostbite status effect when its attacks hit during both phases. During its second phase, it is renamed as "Drasiken, The Frostburnt".
- The Flame wyvern applies burn status when its attacks hit during both phases. During its second phase, it is renamed as "Navellir, The Scorched".
- Once the wyverns are defeated, the Yeti drops its shield and proceeds to attack once again. Its attacks for this phase are its rush attack and, instead of its slam and earthquake attacks, it uses a frozen projectile that damages those caught in its flight path.
- Phase 3, Jókrathúun, The Ice Blade: The phase begins with the Yeti roaring and beating his chest, and some of its body parts start to glow. It's invincible for the first few seconds. Afterwards, the boss will attack repeatedly with a rain of ice shards that deal damage, a jumping attack where it brings its hands together and slams them down to the ground with great force, inflicting injury and stunned effects, a special grab attack where a random creature nearby is picked up and thrown away, ragdolling them while also dealing great damage, and occasionally, a single large projectile attack.
Successfully killing the boss awards up to about 25-75 Candy Canes to each player, depending on the damage dealt to the Yeti, with chances of winning palettes (Fir Tree Forest, Festive Surprise, and Sleighbell) or plushies (Minty Wiggler and Ginger Snapper). The higher the damage, the more exotic the reward will be. If a player dies or menu during the fight, they receive 10 Candy Canes, regardless of whether they dealt any damage. If a player doesn't deal any damage before the boss is killed, they won't receive any rewards. See below for more boss rewards.
Boss Donations[]
The Yeti's Rewards Candy Cane donator is present inside the arena as a Christmas gift. Players can donate a certain amount of Candy Canes to get additional exclusive rewards. The maximum amount of Candy Canes that can be donated is 1,000. However, donating increases the boss's damage for the donating player. Also, the Yeti's damage multiplier is specific to each player's account, meaning it is not shared among other fighters. These rewards have verifying drop rates, and donations reset upon defeating the boss. Therefore, if a player loses the fight, their donations won't reset. Additionally, once the boss fight begins, the Christmas gift disappears, only appearing when the boss is inactive.
Boss rewards after donating a certain %:
- 11% chance to earn the Sleighbell Palette by donating 10% ( 100 Candy Canes).
- 9% chance to earn the Ginger Snapper Plushie by donating 20% ( 200 Candy Canes).
- 9% chance to earn the Artikauk species by donating 40% ( 400 Candy Canes).
- 8% chance to earn the Jotunhel species by donating 70% ( 700 Candy Canes).
- 10% chance to earn the Despisicle species by donating 100% ( 1,000 Candy Canes).

Trivia[]
- On December 13th, 2024, before the event started, players were able to claim the event currency from the Advent Calendar, though the currency was not visible until the event began.
- The Costume Clash minigame uses the Halloween Event 2024's Costume Clash background when showing the results.
- When pressing (G or Click/Tap screen on respective G pop-up on Mobile) to read Mylo's instructions for the Present Delivery minigame, he mentions you can collect 5 for each color, however the max capacity to carry and deliver the red and green gifts are two and three.
- Polar Presents third mission is the only one to have a dot at the end of the sentence.
