The Winter Event of 2023-2024 was the game's fourth Winter Event overall. The event began on December 8th, 2023, at 3:05 PM PST, and was stated by Wolfragon to end during "the first week of January," which was January 5th, 2024, at 3:18 PM PST. Three new Event creatures were released during the event.
This was the first Winter Event to be released following the launch of the Official Recode.
Pre-release[]
The update immediately predating the event on December 1st, 2023 introduced the December Advent calendar and the Frostburn mutation. Frostburn functions similarly to the Harvest mutation from the month before, having a chance to be applied to any creature that either hatches from a nest or reaches adulthood at age 67 for the duration of December. The percent chance for this mutation has not been disclosed.
Advent Calendar[]
The December Advent calendar is a December-specific daily reward system not unlike the year-round Login Rewards. For the first 25 days of December, players will be presented with the Advent calendar menu upon opening the game and be allowed to claim their daily reward. The Advent calendar does not replace the regular Login Rewards, and rewards from both systems can be claimed back-to-back.
The reward for each day is unique, and unlike the daily Login Rewards, a specific day's reward will simply be skipped if missed by the player instead of restarting. Players who successfully claim their rewards for several days consecutively will be able to build a streak, which awards them with a multiplier for all currency rewards. This multiplier does not affect any other type of reward. A player's streak can be restored for a fee of 50 Robux if it is broken.

The Ice Yeti Boss[]
The event's unique boss fight was introduced during Part 2 of the event. The boss fight features three distinct phases.
Phase 1[]
The boss — by the initial name of Yeti — will spawn in the arena and has the following repeating attack pattern: slam and rush. When the first third of the health bar is depleted, it will put up a shield and summon the elemental twins, Drasiken, the Frostburnt and Navellir, the Scorched. Each wyvern has two phases featuring the following attacks: Bite for phase 1, and breath attack in phase 2. When at least one of the twins' health drops below half, they will begin flying. When Part 3 of the event released, both twins got a lunge attack added to their phase 1 attack patterns.
Phase 2[]
When the elemental twins are both defeated, the boss will lower its shield. They still have the rush attack, but can also throw a large piece of ice that deals major damage to anyone caught in it's flight path. Its new name, The Ice Yeti, will now be partially corrupted with Zalgo text.
Phase 3[]
When two-thirds of the boss's health is depleted, their horns and spiky bits begin glowing and the arena's lighting is slowly dimmed down. They begin stage 3 by shooting an ice ball into the air, and roaring to summon a rain of icicles. Its name is now Jókrathúun, The Ice Blade. Both attacks from phase 1 are gone, and the boss can now jump into the air and slam its scythe into the ground, causing injury damage. The projectile they use for phase 2 is now larger and deals more damage.
When the boss is defeated, they will let out one last roar, before falling over and disappearing until the next fight.

Minigames[]
Starting with Part 1, the Winter Event introduced several minigames which can be used to gather Candy Canes and other rewards. As of Part 1, there are two.
Snowman Breaking[]
Highlighted snowmen can be found in the Tundra, Mountains, Pride Rocks, on the western border of the Mesa and even around the gift delivery sleighs despite any environment or weather, such as at Desert near the green gift sleigh. These snowmen can be broken by interacting (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) and playing a short minigame, in which a wheel is spun and the player must click on the correct zones to fill a completion bar.
- Red zones fill half the bar.
- White zones fill a quarter of the bar.
- Dark zones will deplete a quarter of the bar.
The speed of the wheel will randomly change for each click. Once the bar is filled, the snowman will break and the player will be rewarded with 3 Candy Canes regardless of performance, as well as a very rare chance for a cookie dough drop. Snowmen respawn periodically in the same locations and can be broken again. Some creatures, especially unusually tall ones, may have difficulty entering a snowman's hitbox. Cowering may sometimes remedy this issue.
Additionally, since part 3 release, Nachtskinhren species can be obtained as a rare drop when completing the minigame. It is not yet known what the percent chance for this drop is.
Present Delivery[]
Gifts of three different colors — red, green, and white — can be gathered from beneath the Christmas trees found at the Central Rockfaces. Each gift corresponds with a different color sleigh across the map, each of which has a different gift capacity, reward yield, and cooldown. These sleighs can be interacted with to deposit gifts when they are not on cooldown.
- The red sleigh can be found at the Pride Rocks, has a two-gift capacity, will reward 5 Candy Cane when completed, and has a three minute cooldown.[1]
- The green sleigh can found in the Desert, has a three-gift capacity, will reward 12 Candy Canes when completed, and has a five minute cooldown.[2]
- The white sleigh can be found on the Volcano Island, has a five-gift capacity, will reward 45 Candy Canes when completed, and has a fifteen minute cooldown.[3]
Additionally, a Sturbi species can be obtained as a rare drop when completing the minigame. It is not yet known what the percent chance for this drop is. Using either event-related boost will increase this drop rate. There's also a rare chance to drop cookie dough of any kind.
Baking With Mylo[]
The different types of doughs can be acquired through participating in the Present Delivery or Snowman Breaking minigames. The chance to obtain doughs is not guaranteed.
Once you obtain 5 cookie doughs of any type (f.ex 4 Cookie doughs and 1 Peppermint Dough equal 5 doughs) you can give it to Mylo and then interact with the cooking table to obtain a reward:
- Christmas Present Token
- Ginger Snapper Plushie
- Minty Wiggler Plushie
- Fir Tree Forest Palette
- Festive Surprise Palette
- x1 Mobuushiy species
- Midnight's Wish Signature Look
After completing the minigame, there is a 10 minute cooldown.[4]
Event Shop[]
The Event Shop can be accessed and used from both the main menu and in-game Tab menu. This shop primarily uses the Winter Event's unique event currency, Candy Canes, while premium items can be purchased with Robux. It features three tabs:

- Candy Cane: From which the player can buy the Candy Cane currency in exchange for Robux.

This shop will presumably be updated to include new and returning Winter Event items as the event progresses with each weekly part.
