On February 2nd, 2024, a week before the event, the first February mutation, Blossom, was introduced to the game. However, the exact percentage to nest a creature with this mutation has not been disclosed. Starting off the event, a new Valentine's creature, the Wuggawyrm, got added to the game, alongside the return of the usual Valentine's creatures, two minigames, and the addition of Valentine's-themed decorations around the main map.

Minigames[]

The Valentine's Event introduced several minigames which can be used to gather Roses and other rewards.

Chocolate Smash[]

The Chocolate Smash minigame was introduced in part one of the event, featuring highlighted chocolate piles which can be found in Pride Rocks, Central Rockfaces, Redwoods, and Flower Cove. These piles can be broken by interacting (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) and playing a short minigame. In the minigame, there is a spinning wheel with colored zones. Each zone causes different effects upon clicking, ranging from a minimum of 2 clicks to fill the completion bar and destroy the chocolate pile, as well as the speed of the wheel changing randomly after each click, making it harder or easier to complete.

Below are the different effects each zone can cause when clicked on:

  • Red zones: fill half the bar
  • White zones: fill a quarter of the bar
  • Dark zones: will deplete a quarter of the bar

After filling the bar, the chocolate breaks and the player will be rewarded with Rose 6 Roses[1], a 0.25% chance to obtain a Wuggawyrm species, or the Chocolate Ingredient which was added in part two of the event. Once the chocolate pile is broken, it will respawn periodically in the same location and can be broken over and over again.

Lovely Letter Delivery[]

The Lovely Letter Delivery minigame was introduced in part one of the event, featuring a delivery post located in Central Rockfaces and six letter bins, each one located in Volcano Island, Flower Cove, Desert, Tundra, Swamp Hill, and Pride Rocks. These letter bins contain their own letter and players can interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) to collect only one from each bin. The letters can be viewed in the player's inventory under Misc Items tab. After delivering a specific letter to the delivery post drop-off, that specific letter can be collected again in its corresponding letter bin. There is also a 1-minute cooldown from the delivery post after a letter has been delivered.

The player will be rewarded with Rose 30 Roses or a 0.25% chance to obtain a Wewuix species after delivering a letter.

Rose Garden Matching[]

The Rose Garden Matching minigame was introduced in part two of the event. It features 5 large rose gardens located in Volcano Island, Jungle, Mountains, Desert, and Redwoods. Players can interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) with these bushes to initiate a memory matching minigame, in which 12 mystery cards are shown on screen. In 1-minute, players must guess and match all 6 card pairs together to win a reward. There is also a 5-minute cooldown from all rose gardens after completing, failing, or closing out of the puzzle.

The player will be rewarded with Rose 30 Roses or a very rare chance to obtain an Oxytalis species after completing the minigame. With the Rose currency reward, there is a chance to get an additional reward, being the Rosepetal Ingredient. An alternate reward is the Valentine's Goody Bag Token or a Rosevine Plushie.

Heart Brewery[]

The Heart Brewery minigame was introduced in part two of the event. It features Maybel with three cauldrons located at Flower Cove. The minigame requires 1 Lovely Letter, 1 Chocolate Ingredient, and 1 Rosepetal Ingredient, each one collected from their corresponding minigames. After collecting the three items and giving them to Maybel to create a potion, players can select (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) one of the three cauldrons for a random reward:

  • Valentine's Goody Bag Token
  • Honey-Eyed Palette
  • Rosevine Plushie

There is also a 10-minute cooldown after choosing a cauldron.
