This is the recode-only page for Token. To read information about the legacy-only Token, see Token/Legacy.

A Token is an item designed to perform some special action when used. Tokens can be obtained in several ways: they may be directly purchased with Tikit Tikits or Robux Robux in the shop, bought with Daily Point Daily Points in the Login Rewards menu, earned through completing certain tasks, or found in the in-game world. Tokens can also be indirectly obtained through the Trade Realm. They may be accessed in the "Tokens" section in the main menu or in-game Tab menu.

To use a token, go to your inventory and select the "Tokens" tab. Then choose the token you want to use and click "Apply" or "Use" or "Open Shop". If it's a token such as Appearance Change Token, a window labeled "APPLY TOKEN" will appear, showcasing all your creatures that are in slots. Select a slot and click "Apply" again and the effects of that token will be applied to that creature.

When using a token, some may allow you to choose a specific creature slot, while others may simply be used immediately.

Token Behaviors

Tokens are typically spent right away when used, but some may exhibit one or two unique behaviors before being spent.

Cancelable Behavior

Not to be confused with the "cancel" button option.

In Recode, there seems to be no tokens with Cancelable Behavior; instead, they are spent immediately upon clicking the button to use them. Unlike in Legacy, tokens with this behavior are not immediately spent when you confirm to use them and can be canceled before being spent.

Target A Slot Behavior

Tokens with Target A Slot Behavior will typically require you to select a creature slot before they can be used.

Shop Tokens

These tokens can be purchased in the shop under the "Tokens" tab with their respective prices. Unlike other tokens, they usually don't have a physical form, and some can exhibit target a slot behavior. Some of these tokens can also be obtained through the Death Reward System or Daily Login Rewards.

Gacha & Exploration Tokens

These tokens, unlike other tokens, are used with an additional cost to spin a specific gacha. They are usually found as physical items in the in-game world and can be collected by interacting (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox). Only one can spawn at a time, with a new one having a chance to appear only when the last one has been collected or has despawned after ten minutes. Except for Death, Session, Boosted, and Master Tokens, which do not have physical forms and are instead obtained by completing specific tasks.

Trivia

  • The ERR_NULL_TOKEN item did not exist until the second Token content drop, as the system did not need it to work.
  • Growth Tokens cannot be used if the creature's age is already set to max.
  • The "SPEEN!" in the description of the Random Gacha Spin Token is playing off a joke from Vinny on the Vinesauce YouTube channel, where it is commonplace for him to say "spin" in a strong accent whenever anything in a game is spinning. The token has a 7.5% chance of playing one of these sound clips, and the source of the specific sound can be found here.

Notes

  1. Galaxy Exploration Tokens are intended to spawn during the night exclusively, but due to a bug, they can appear at any time.
  2. Photovore Exploration Tokens are intended to spawn exclusively during the day in Summer, Spring, and Sakura seasons, but due to a bug, they can appear at any time.
