Appearance

The Nightmyth is a creature with large, uniquely shaped wings. Its wings are somewhat rectangular in shape and have a serrated inner edge. On the wing's ventral side, there are night sky star-like patterns. On the dorsal side, there are thick angular spiral shapes. It has a pair of antenna-like structures on its head, a singular eye, and a horizontal beak-like feature forming its mouth. It has three pairs of eyes on its chest and two small leg-like structures. The Nightmyth has a body build that vaguely resembles a wyvern as it has only one set of wings and only looks to have back legs. It also looks to have hand-like appendages at the top parts of the wing bones.

The Nightmyth's color palette is comprised of grays, purple-grays, blacks, whites & one yellow shade.

Nightmyth has no gender dimorphism.

Abilities

This section is intended to list and briefly describe the planned abilities of the Nightmyth before it got scrapped:

Blackout would be active ability which scares creatures around the Nightmyth, inverting other creatures controls and blocking out their screens for a short period.
Nightime Buff would be a passive ability that raises the Nightmyth's health and damage during the night.
Night Stalker is a passive ability of the Nightmyth's which activates at night. Creatures within the Nightmyth's range will have their night vision reduced to 1, but other creatures with Night Stalker are unaffected. This ability also allows the Nightmyth to see more vivid colors at night.

Trivia

Concept by CatasticalCalamity from the Creatures of Sonaria Discord.
- The Nightmyth was "based a bit on dragontail butterflies, and their mouth were based on how some Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero creatures had interesting/horrifying jaws." (Quoted by concept creator CatasticalCalamity)
First creature revealed which would have had impaired vision during the day.
Nightmyth was planned to be in the Time Gacha, but was replaced by Verklixin.
