The Lmakosauruodon is a Tier 5 land herbivore. The species is available in the Herbivores Gacha. The trial version is available in the Trial Creatures Shop for 75♂/750♀ Shooms.
Description
“ | These tall, walking forests are the epitome of a gentle giant, usually being friendly to both herbivores and carnivores. Their head horns can reach the leaves high up in the trees, thus disturbing it. This helps ward off any living creatures that are living on the trees, so these beasts won't accidentally eat them. | „ |
~ In-game Description |
Behavior
- The Lmakosauruodon's tree is akin to an external heart for it; the tree intakes oxygen for the sauropod and keeps it alive as a whole. If the tree dies, so will the creature.
- Lmakosauruodons are naturally protective of their young. When a young is born, their parents or guardians will guide it to a seed which the young Lmakosauruodon will have latched onto its back, allowing it to grow and strengthen the creature with additional resources.
- Lmakosauruodons are prone to illnesses during their youth. The still-developing tree may get sick or become damaged by bugs or parasites, making them very vulnerable to death. However, this immunity gradually strengthens as the tree and the Lmakosauruodon ages, allowing those who do survive to live up to hundreds of years so long as the tree lives on.
- The oldest Lmakosauruodon to have ever lived may have been up to a thousand years old.
Appearance
The Lmakosauruodon is a large, tall-necked quadrupedal creature that resembles a sauropod dinosaur, specifically Futalognkosaurus. Its neck has a row of long spines running down it, and its colors consist of turquoise, browns, and yellows. It has a tree on its back that grows as it ages, which changes color according to the current season and emits flowers during Cherry Blossom.
Males
Males have a single large horn on their head and have spines along their tail.
Females
Females have frills on their head and on the backs of their hooves.
Abilities
Main Article: Creature Abilities
This section is intended to list and describe the abilities of the Lmakosauruodon. (editor list)
- Area Food Restore is a ranged active ability with a cooldown of 600 sec (10 min) which refreshes food sources (and stomachs) in range. Does not work on eggs from inside a nest.
- Bleed Block/Block Bleed is a passive ability that grants the creature resistance to getting bleed status from melee attacks at the very least, and every other source at most. Recode's equivalent of bleed defense; it is percentage based, e.g. if an attacker deals 5 bleed per hit and the receiver has 60% bleed defense, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 bleed.
- If a creature's Block Bleed is 100%, then they are immune to Bleed inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages, that is, a creature with 100% Block Bleed will have some fraction of bleed defense while growing, being such fraction bigger as it grows.
- A negative value in-game may indicate an extra vulnerability to the status effect this ability is supposed to protect from.
- Burn Block/Block Burn is a passive ability that grants the creature resistance to getting burn status from melee attacks at the very least, and every other source at most. It is percentage based, e.g. if an attacker deals 5 burn per hit and the receiver has 60% block burn, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 burn.
- If a creature's block burn is 100%, then they are immune to Burn inflicted by melee direct attacks once fully grown. This ability is gained gradually as the creature ages, that is, a creature with 100% burn defense will have some fraction of burn defense while growing, being such fraction bigger as it grows.
- Injury Block/Block Injury is a passive ability that grants the creature resistance to getting Injury status from melee attacks at the very least, and every other source at most. It is percentage based, e.g. if an attacker deals 5 Injury per hit and the receiver has 60% Injury Block, then the receiver gets only 2 of that 5 Injury.
- Block Poison/Poison Block is a passive ability that grants resistance to poison status once they reach max age (100). Like many other block defenses, it works by blocking a percentage of the ailment received. If a creature's Poison Block is 100%, then they are immune to those stats (and will be healed instantly if they are somehow applied) once they reach age 100.
- Broodwatcher is a passive ability that allows creatures to assist in the gestation of other player's eggs. It applies one stack of Gestation Buff to nearby creatures, which increases other creatures' egg gestation speed by 2.5%. The total buff any nesting species can receive is 5%, so only two Broodwatchers can be effective at any one time. Additionally, when sitting near a nest, the Broodwatcher gains 5 Defensive, which starts to decrease if they move.
- Charge (Crush) or Crush Charge is an specific type of Charge that inflicts Injury Status on the victim.
- Earthquake is an active ability with a radius of 125 studs that applies 40 Injury, 4 Broken Legs, 4 Aftershock, and 1 Shredded Wings to all creatures within its range. Earthquake burns 25% of the user's stamina on activation and has a 300 second (5 minute) cooldown.
- Healing Step is a passive ability that activates when the user's health drops to 65% or less. The user leaves a healing trail that restores a customizable % of max health to both the user and any recipients who step in it. This ability only affects the user and their packmates, and the trail is visible only to them. Each trail segment lasts for 8 seconds, with a maximum of 13 segments active at a time.
- Tail Whip/Secondary melee attack is a special active ability which grants another melee attack, usually from behind (thus, Tail Whip), which is activated according to where the camera is facing. Code-wise it has a secondary damage stat, which allows main and secondary melee attacks to deal different base damage. No offensive status effects are given from this secondary attack, and it is not boosted by most effects, except eldering.

Trivia
- Concept by LammieLord in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord.
- The name was thought of due to a spelling mistake of the acronym "lmao".
- Modeled by Erythia.
- Redesign concept by Undeary.
- Redesign modeled and rigged by ThunderBoo666.
- Redesign animated by Minisode1_BlueHour and Kazooduder.
- Lmakosauruodon is the first Tier 5 creature to be added to the game.
- The Lmakosauruodon was the first creature to have more than one attack.
- The Lmakosauruodon used to have a stomp animation for its primary attack, which would also cause cubes of rock to appear, similar to a small earthquake, while having a large radius and dealing damage + Bone Break. This was removed in Recode. Now, it uses a normal attack animation, with normal reach and injury ailments.
- This attack animation also made the Lmakosauruodon the first creature to have a custom attackspeed.
- It was the second tallest creature, with Boreal Warden being the tallest. Now, there are other taller creatures like Korathos.
- It is the 2nd biggest creature in terms of width, only beaten by Venuella.
- The tree and sprout change colors with the seasons in-game, much like the Phugu.
- Players can attempt to use unique colors from selecting the tree on specific seasons, then paint the creature. However, those colors will not work outside the creature customization step unless a close-enough color palette is applied, otherwise they may default to a blue color after spawning in.
- This creature is often referred to as "Lmako" and "long neck", and sometimes "sprout", "tree dinosaur", or "Brachiosaurus".
- When separate life stage models were removed, both of Lmakosauruodon's immature stages temporarily lost their respective trees, as the parts used were entirely unique to the original models. These were returned on November 11th, 2022.
