Minigames[]

The Halloween Event introduced several minigames which can be used to gather Candy and other rewards. The minigames, except for Werewolf Fangs and The Pumpkin King Boss Fight, additionally give a certain amount of minigame status effect of "Passive Mode" within their areas. This status effect disables damage, growth, hunger and thirst depletion, active abilities (as well as flight and glide), stamina depletion, and prevents sitting and laying down.

Costume Contest[]

The Costume Contest or Costume Clash minigame was introduced in part one of the event. It is located at Central Rockfaces and requires at least 2 players to start. In this minigame, players are tasked with creating a skin that matches a specific theme randomly prompted by the game. The themes are as follows: witch, bat, werewolf, zombie, ghost, vampire, spider, monster, demon, and pumpkin. There is a 30-minute cooldown that gives players time to create their skins in the customization menu. Once players have finished making their skins, they can wait in the minigame's circle to be teleported to their red carpet platforms. There, participants will have 2 minutes to switch between platforms to view and vote, determining which skin best fits the theme by rating them from 1 to 3 stars. After the contest ends, players are teleported back to the minigame's circle and shown the results.

The person in first place will receive Candy 175 Candy, the person in second place will receive Candy 150 Candy, and the person in third place will receive Candy 125 Candy. All other participants will receive Candy 100 Candy, regardless of their placement. If all participants don't vote, the game will automatically decide their placement. Players also receive a stack of 5 minigame status effect upon entering the minigame's circle.

Obstacle Course[]

The Obstacle Course minigame is an obby that was added in part one of the event. It is located south of Central Rockfaces, near the Mesa biome. Similar to the previous Obstacle Course minigame, it requires players to use a creature with the Jump ability, as those without it cannot access the obby. Also, creatures with a low jump are not recommended, and players will see a warning message within the obby if they attempt to use those creatures. To complete the obby, players must make their way up by jumping on floating platforms. There are checkpoints numbered 0 to 6 that are optional to interact with along the way. If the player misses a jump and falls, they will be returned to the last checkpoint they activated. Players also have the option to leave the obby at any time before completing it.

While participating in the obby, players are granted a stack of 5 minigame status effect. Successfully completing the Obstacle Course rewards players with Candy 90 Candy, and there is a small chance (0.5%) of receiving the Dantenos species. The minigame also has a 1-minute cooldown before players can try again.

Potion Rush[]

The Potion Rush or Potion minigame was added in part one of the event and is located at Jungle. Unlike the Halloween Event 2023 Jerry's Trick-or-Treat minigame, which required players to gather ingredients from other minigames and pick a specific cauldron for a reward, the ingredients for this minigame can be collected within the minigame itself. Players also aren't required to pick between three cauldrons; instead, they simply interact with a single pop-up. Jerry and the three cauldrons return for this year's event, but this time, players must collect and return as many potion ingredients as possible to the cauldrons within 1 minute. When an item is picked up, a rope attaches it to the creature and can be dragged around.

Each ingredient gives a different amount of points; the materials include mushrooms (1 point), flowers (2 points), and crystals (5 points). The player receives candy based on how many points they gained. The maximum amount of candy the player can earn is Candy 50 Candy. Due to this restriction, players only need 31 points to earn the full reward. The minigame also has a 2-minute cooldown, and upon starting, players receive a stack of 20 minigame status effect. [Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Werewolf Fangs[]

The Werewolf Fangs minigame was added in part one of the event. It follows the same structure as the Halloween Event 2023 Werewolf Fang Delivery minigame. Werewolf fangs spawn at different locations throughout the Redwoods biome, and players must find and collect 5 fangs to return to the shrine, which is also located at Redwoods. The fangs emit a sound akin to spooky whispers and glow with a red aura, making them easier to locate. [Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Werewolf Fang (howling can be heard after collecting it):

Werewolf Fang Delivered:

Players can hold up to 5 fangs at a time, or however many are needed to complete the ritual. Werewolf fangs can be viewed in the player's inventory under Misc Items tab.

Completing a ritual rewards players with Candy 60 Candy, and there is a small chance (0.5%) of receiving the Morcanix species. There is also a 5-minute cooldown before the next ritual.

Pumpkin Dash[]

The Pumpkin Dash or Time Race minigame was introduced in part two of the event and is located at Forgotten Shores. Players are tasked with gathering 8 glowing pumpkins in a specific order within a time limit of 1 minute. A green line helps guide players to the next pumpkin they need to collect. Players can interact with these pumpkins by touch instead of using (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox). [Expand] for its sound.

8 Pumpkins Collected:

Fast creatures are recommended to complete this minigame, as the glowing pumpkins are far apart from each other in the area. Upon starting the minigame, players receive a stack of 20 minigame status effect, which enables flight and glide. Completing the minigame rewards Candy 30 Candy and has a cooldown of 1 minute and 30 seconds.

The Pumpkin King Boss Fight[]

The Pumpkin King Boss Fight minigame was introduced in part two of the event. The portal to fight the boss was located in Central Rockfaces. Upon entering the portal, players will receive boss fight status effects of 50% stamina regeneration and "Boss Mode", which temporarily halts growth, thirst and hunger depletion, and prevents damage taken from other players. The boss respawns every 2 minutes once slain, and players have 13 minutes and 19 seconds to kill it once it spawns. Its health is based on the number of players in the arena and the current stats of their creatures. It takes more damage from breath attacks than physical attacks by a significant amount, especially as more players are in the arena. The portal itself has a cooldown of 4 seconds and becomes disabled once the fight begins.

The boss has three phases:

Phase 1, Vinebound Monarch: The boss is invincible for the first few seconds. It rises out of the ground, roars, and then attacks with a ground slam, previewed by a red section on the ground. As soon as that red preview appears, it is no longer invincible and may be attacked. The boss will alternate between the ground slam attack and a fireball attack, where it targets onto a single player and shoots fireballs.

Phase 2, Hollow Wrath: The boss becomes invincible again as three tentacles spawn around the map. The three tentacles must all be killed before the main boss can be attacked again, and they take much less damage from breath attacks, making physical attacks required. In this phase, the boss will additionally attack by locking onto a single player and firing a barrage of fireballs. It is possible to intentionally distract the pumpkin boss, but the more players there are, the harder this becomes.

As for the tentacles, they attack when a player approaches, displaying the red section on the ground as a warning before lunging with a bite.

Phase 3, Ember of the Harvest: The boss will enter this phase after taking enough damage during phase 2. It will cycle through three attacks in the order that they appear in the following list:

  • The boss roars, and a rain of fire comes down. Where the fireballs land, they splat on the ground, leaving pumpkin seeds and an orange translucent liquid that burns to the touch.
  • The boss performs the same ground slam that it does in phase 1.
  • A large red circle will appear around the boss. After a few seconds, it does a sweep. Any player hit by the sweeping attack receives a stack of 2 Shredded Wings status effect. As of Part 3, this attack also spawns a traveling fire tornado that deals 2 Shredded Wings in addition to burn.

If a player dies or menu during the fight, they receive Candy 10 Candy, regardless of whether they dealt any damage. Successfully killing the boss awards players with up to Candy 25-40 Candy, 1-5 Trick or Treat tokens (most likely depending on damage dealt), and either a plushie, palette, or very rarely, one of three specific Halloween creatures. If a player doesn't deal any damage before the boss is killed, they won't receive any rewards.

  • Plushie drops observed as of part 2: Ghost, Cat, and Owl
  • Palette drops observed as of part 2: Candy Corn, Graveyard Ruins, Witch's Brew, and Demon
  • Creature drops observed as of part 2: Morcanix, Salrahn, and Cucuerpum

[Expand] for the minigame's sounds.

Rain of Fire Attack and Roar:

The minigame also comes with its own music. See Soundtracks for its theme.

Maze Dungeon[]

The Maze Dungeon or Maze minigame was introduced in part three of the event. The portal to the maze is located at Desert. Upon entering, players receive a stack of 80 minigame status effect and are given 4 minutes to navigate through a randomized maze to find a long yellow pumpkin with a light ring around it, which serves as the exit. The exit is not client-sided, allowing players to team up in locating it. Successfully finding the exit rewards players with Candy 50 Candy, and there is an unknown % chance of receiving the Wixpectr'o species. The minigame has a 5-minute cooldown before it can be attempted again. The minigame also comes with its own music. See here for its theme.

While its inner walls are very high, their collision hitboxes don't quite touch the roof, meaning that, despite camera mode and most abilities being disabled here, it is still possible to "cheat" by jumping and climbing and from there explore the labyrinth from the roof while ignoring wall collisions. However, because the colorful and distracting wall decorations still reach up to the roof, this method is just slightly more effective than playing normally and thus not particularly advantageous.

Event Shop[]

The Event Shop can be accessed and used from both the main menu and in-game Tab menu. This shop primarily uses the Halloween Event's unique event currency, Candy, while premium items can be purchased with Robux Robux. It features four tabs:

Trivia[]

  • The word "activities" is spelt as "activites" in the event missions.
  • The stars used to rate players in the Costume Contest minigame are similar to the LSS Event 2024 currency, Point Points.
  • Just like the Lore Event 2024, the event's badge is used as a loading screen icon when entering or exiting the obby minigame. This loading screen was also used for the maze minigame.
  • The official Halloween Event 2024 trailer released on October 22nd, 2024, after the event began.
  • If a player leaves the boss fight before defeating it, either by dying or going to the menu, the boss will play its death animation as if it were killed, provided no one is left in the arena.
