After reaching age 100 on a creature, players can choose to become an Elder by either clicking "Become an Elder!" on the initial Elder prompt or by clicking "Become Elder" in the Creature Info/Creature Stats window by pressing K.

Prompt to Become an Elder

Button Located in Creature Info Window
The decision to become Elder is always available to players once reaching age 100 on any creature by the initial Elder prompt, by rejoining for the same Elder prompt, or by going to the Creature Info window. Once deciding to become an Elder, the player's creature will instantly inherit the Elder status and effects which cannot be removed later on, unless you trigger the anti-logging penalties to de-elder.
- There's a known bug that makes the Elder prompt to show up earlier than intended, however, clicking "Become an Elder!" will not make any changes to the creature's stats if they are not the correct age.
- There was a known bug that randomly forced a player's creature to become Elder after declining the Elder prompt.
Eldering will give a player's creature:
- Boosts:
- 15% less food/water drain.
- 25% extra weight.
- 10% extra total health.
- 10% extra health regeneration.
- 10% extra stamina regeneration.
- 10% extra walk speed.
- Nerfs:
- 5% slower run speed.
- 10% slower fly speed.
- Neutral:
- Increases the size of the creature by 10%.
Due to slower turn, and movement speed, Elder creatures may not be as successful at maneuvering in fights as other non-Elder creatures. While they can do more damage due to weight increase, escaping with speed and the ability to turn quickly behind a target are very important and sometimes deciding factors in a fight. However, their increased food, water, health and health regen on some creatures can make them an easier option for farming Shooms () and facetanking, as well as recovering from exhaustion.
