The Easter Event of 2024 is an Easter Event and the game's fourth overall. The event began on March 29th, 2024, around 3:00 PM PDT, and lasted for four weeks, ending on April 26th, 2024, at 3:20 PM PDT. This is the first Easter Event to be released following the launch of the Official Recode.
Throughout the event, three new Event creatures (Grysallmog, Ushrumesh, and Vorpalus), two new plushies (Eggy Snake and Jackrabbit), a new color palette or material (Chocolate), and previous Easter Event items and creatures were made available.
Pre-release[]
The 2024 Easter Event was first mentioned in relation to the Spring Meadows Event of 2024, which began March 15th, 2024. For the duration of the event, the Spring Meadows missions menu included a live Easter countdown at the bottom, indicative of the event's two-week duration. The Easter Event of 2024 was initially planned to begin the same day The Hunt: First Edition ended, on March 30th, 2024. It was later decided that the game would instead update at its usual time, resulting in a one day overlap with that year's Spring Meadows Event.
Alongside this update came the reveal of the event's first new creature, Grysallmog, and mention of the event's four-week duration.

Minigames[]

Egg Smash[]
The Egg Smash minigame, introduced in part one of the event, follows the same formula as previous smash minigames. Players can interact with the highlighted egg piles by pressing (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) when prompted. A spinning wheel with different colored sections and a completion bar appears, and players must time their click when the white bar passes over the red space (2 points) or green space (1 point) to fill the completion bar (requiring a total of 4 points). The speed of the wheel changes randomly after each click, making it harder or easier to complete. Once the egg pile is broken, it will respawn periodically in the same location and can be broken over and over again. Possible rewards are as follows:
The egg piles locations are as follows: Flower Cove and Mesa
Chocolate Egg Delivery[]
The Chocolate Egg Delivery minigame, introduced in part one of the event, involves finding chocolate eggs that only spawn at the base of six pillars scattered around the main map. Players can interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) to collect only four chocolate eggs at a time. The chocolate eggs can be viewed in the player's inventory under Misc Items tab. These eggs must then be taken to the large egg basket located at Central Rockfaces. Four eggs total are required in order to get one of the possible rewards:
After delivering the chocolate eggs to its drop-off, they can be collected again. There is also a one-minute cooldown from the egg basket after the chocolate eggs has been delivered. Chocolate eggs may spawn at any given time in the world. However, as of the event release, this may bug and result in the eggs not respawning at all.
The pillar locations are as follows: Desert, Flower Cove, Jungle, Mountains, Rocky Drop, and Volcano Island
Card Matching[]
The Card Matching or Card Match minigame, introduced in part two of the event, follows the same formula as the previous matching minigame. For this minigame, there are five black rabbits with Easter egg baskets around the map. Players can interact (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) with these Easter egg baskets to initiate a memory matching minigame, in which 16 mystery cards are shown on screen. In one-minute, players must guess and match all 8 card pairs together to win a reward. There is also a five-minute cooldown from all rabbit's Easter egg baskets after completing or failing the puzzle. Possible rewards are as follows:
The rabbit's Easter egg baskets locations are as follows: Flower Cove, Jungle, Mesa, Mountains, and Redwoods
Easter Locate Quest[]
The Easter Locate Quest minigame was introduced in part two of the event. It features a white rabbit with an open book and an Easter egg located at Central Rockfaces. After interacting (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox), players must complete the quest they received from the minigame within five minutes. The quest is always to find and sniff a creature of a specific mobility type, tier, OR diet. The five-minute timer continues even when a player is in menu, but it can be paused when a player exits the game. There is also a two-minute cooldown after completing or failing the quest. Possible rewards after completing a quest are as follows:
Easter Egg Dyeing[]
The Easter Egg Dyeing or Egg Painting minigame was introduced in part three of the event. It features the Scrambler and Scramblings on a nest located at Swamp Hill. The minigame requires one Blue Egg Dye, one Pink Egg Dye, and one Yellow Egg Dye, each one collected from their corresponding minigames. There is also a 10-minute cooldown after choosing an egg. After collecting the three items and giving them to the Scrambler to paint the eggs, players can select (E or Tap screen or X on Xbox) one of the three painted eggs for one of the possible rewards:
