The Easter Event of 2021 started on April 14th, at 12:48 AM CST, and ended on April 29th, 2021, at 12:45 AM CST, which lasted a full two weeks. The Part 1 was also part of the Metaverse Champions Event, in which is inside of the Sparks Kilowatt Week 1 games. The event introduced the game's first boss fight and unique mission to explore the map to discover artifacts in the form of pillars with festive eggs on top. The first creatures to release, were the Phugu, which is obtained through the Easter Gacha after collecting all the artifacts and defeating a boss in the boss fight, and the Buff Eulopii which has an extremely low chance of dropping after defeating the boss.
At the start of the event, two creatures released (the Phugu and Buff Eulopii) with two remaining as hinted heavily by shared content in the Creatures of Sonaria Discord's development channel. The third creature, Verdant Warden, was released roughly a week after the event began. Players could only roll for the Warden one time per account, similar to how previous Wardens functioned in gachas.
On April 25th, the Kyiki was released, totaling 4 Easter Event creatures. This and the warden could be obtained via the 1,500 Shoom Easter Gacha.
The Easter Event of 2021 was the first event to not include a flying/gliding creature, and also the first event to release more than three (3) event creatures.
Part 1
PhuguThe Phugu was the first creature to release alongside Buff Eulopii in the Easter Event of 2021. Phugu was obtained through the Easter Gacha. In Part 1, there was a 100% chance of rolling a Phugu for 750 Shooms.
|
Buff Eulopii
The Buff Eulopii was one of the first creatures to release during the Easter Event of 2021 alongside Phugu. The species for Buff Eulopii was obtained by defeating the Buff Eulopii boss in the boss fight, however, whether a player obtained one after defeating a boss was randomly determined by a 2.6% chance of the species dropping. Before a boss fight was accessible, players must first collect all four (4) artifacts.

Part 2
Verdant Warden
The Verdant Warden was the third creature to release roughly a week after the event began on April 22nd, 2021, at 11:23 PM CST. The Verdant Warden was obtained by rolling the Easter Gacha.

Part 3
Kyiki
The Kyiki was the final creature to release for the Easter Event of 2021, and dropped on April 25th, 2021, at 4:15 PM CST. The Kyiki was only obtainable through the Easter Gacha for 1,500 per roll. |
Artifacts
There were four (4) artifacts scattered around the map. They were located at the Volcano, Swamp, Desert Oasis, and Tundra. Each artifact was obtained by walking up to a decorative pillar with an egg and a tall, smoke-like effect on top. A message on a player's screen would appear telling them they have obtained an artifact after touching the pillar.
After obtaining all of the artifacts, players were prompted to go to the boss fight through the portal at x:40, z:766, roughly the center of the map close to desert. The portal will only teleport players to the Easter World once every 10 minutes, which was counted down in real-time.
- Players only needed to collect the artifacts one time.
- Artifacts are sometimes referred to as "eggs."
- Artifacts could be collected in any order.
Artifact locations:
Boss Fight
Defeating the Buff Eulopii boss one (1) time was required alongside collecting all four (4) artifacts to unlock the Easter Event gacha and the Sparks' Secret Package 1, in which on May 17, 2021, opened into the Sparks' Coronet.
- Note: The boss sometimes spawned more than once due to a bug, in which case, players only needed to defeat one of the two bosses to win the fight and earn double the rewards.
Portal
To join a boss fight, players went to a portal at x:40 y:766, which was roughly located at the center of the map. Players could stand anywhere on a faded red circle surrounding the portal to teleport to a boss fight.
- The faded red circle was added on April 17th, 2021, at 1:47 PM CST. Previously, players would have to step on the portal's gray platform to teleport.
- Even after seeing the teleportation screen (a gray screen with the Sonaria icon in the middle), tornadoes could grab and cancel teleportation to the arena. Players had to make sure to be far enough away from tornadoes leading up to the final countdown.
- There was often a large number of players waiting at the portal, which caused uncomfortability to skyrocket. It was recommended to wallow in mud or walk away for a bit to help with the effects.
- Take note of the time, if you left it the timer close to opening, it may have caused you to wait another round. It was advised to keep a distance from the portal, but still see the timer, this is so uncomfortability did not go as high.
Things to Know
- Friendly fire is disabled in the arena, but some abilities, such as Area Sleep, still affected other players.
- Note: Damage indicators may have appeared when hitting other players, but it did not inflict damage.
- The boss has a lot of health, and as a result, fights may take a while. This impacts players waiting for the next fight to begin.
- Due to the fact that there were several moving parts, including the boss, its minions, and players all fighting at once, many players could have experienced a lot of lag.
- No matter who killed the boss, anyone in the boss fight, would unlock the Easter Gacha and the Sparks' Secret Package 1.
- The Warden abilities didn't work for the boss fight because it would not activate if attacked by AI, therefore making the Verdant Warden, Boreal Warden and Ardor Warden incredibly disadvantageous.
- The natural disaster, Volcanic Eruption, could reach the boss fight arena and could easily kill generally slower creatures, such as the Gramoss and Lmakosauruodon.
- There were no berry bushes in the arena for herbivores to eat, so if a fight was too long, herbivores may have starved. Carnivores could kill minions and eat their carcass. Players could still go to the menu if close to or in the process of starving to death to save their creature, however, if the boss was defeated after leaving it would not count for players that leave.
- Note: Going to the menu in the Easter World may have caused a player to be unable to enter the portal later on.
Boss and Minions
Buff Eulopii Boss
The Buff Eulopii Boss was a larger version of the Buff Eulopii and taller than a Lmakosauruodon. It usually spawned after three (3) waves of green, yellow, and red minions throughout the boss fight, although sometimes it might have spawned immediately.
The boss attacked by using quick punches from a close distance and body slams that could reach anywhere within a red circle that appears. If a player stayed in the red circle that appears under the boss for too long, the boss would attack with a body slam and deal damage to any players inside the red circle. To avoid being attacked by a body slam, a player had to leave the red circle.
Minions
For a majority of the fight, minions would spawn in varying colors which indicates how strong they are.
- Green minions spawned during Wave 1 and Wave 2, starting out in small numbers. They were the weakest minion.
- Yellow minions would spawn during Wave 2 and onward. They were stronger than green minions.
- Red minions would spawn during Wave 3 and onward. They were the strongest minion and can pack a punch. They could easily kill adult creatures.
Waves
The boss fight was broken down into three (3) waves that became increasingly more difficult each time by spawning stronger minions and a larger number of minions overall.
Wave 1: "Wave 1 of the battle begins! Defeat all minions to win!"
- Only green minions would spawn.
Wave 2: "Wave 2 of the battle begins! Defeat all minions to win!"
- Both green and yellow minions would spawn.
- After clearing most of Wave 2, the message "Take a breather! Collect the shooms that all of the minions dropped." appears. Following this message, shooms would appear around the arena. To pick up a Shoom, you had to walk over it. Each one is equivalent to exactly 1 Shoom.
Wave 3: "Wave 3 of the battle begins! Defeat all minions to win!"
- Red minions would spawn at first, followed by the message "Oh no, it's not over yet!".
- "THE BUFF EULOPII HAS ARRIVED" message would appear, followed by a scaled Buff Eulopii boss that spawned.
- "Buff Eulopii is calling for help!" Towards the end of the fight, the boss would call for help, which spawned a large number of yellow and red minions at the center of the arena.
Strategy
A popular and effective strategy for defeating the boss itself, was to use a flier creature to lure the boss to the edge of the map. The boss did not fall off the edge, but it would get stuck and become unable to move. It sometimes also lost the ability to fight back, which made it very easy for players to gather together and spam attacks to end the fight quickly.
- Most large creatures were a good way to inflict damage to quickly end the fight when the boss spawns. Creatures such as Lmakosauruodon, Gramoss, Kendyll, and Jotunhel were popular picks. In-particular, creatures like Gramoss and Lmakosauruodon couldn't be attacked by the boss's minions on top of having the ability to inflict lots of damage. If you didn't have those, then a strong flier would work, such as Aolenus or Saukuryn.
- By luring the boss away from the center of the arena, players could avoid the swarm of yellow and red minions that show up when the boss called for help after the message, "Buff Eulopii is calling for help!" appears.
- Throughout the fight, red circles would appear under the boss and any creatures that are on or above the red circle will take damage. Players could continue fighting the boss without getting damaged by the red circle through the use of ranged attacks, such as Elemental Breath.
Shoom Farming Method
- Due to one of the common drops from boss fights being the game's currency, the fastest way to farm Shooms during the Easter Event of 2021 was to continuously defeat bosses for a gain of 30-50 Shooms on top of 5 Shooms earned for playing the game every 2 minutes.
Once the fight was won, the message "You did it! You helped Sparks beat the Buff Eulopii!" will pop-up and all players in the arena will teleport back to the portal.
- Sparks was the human character that stands at the portal's entrance, which ties into Roblox's Metaverse Champions global event.
Drops
Special drops were randomly given to all participants of a boss fight after defeating the boss.
- At the end of each boss fight, there was a chance for players to win 30-50 Shooms, the Buff Eulopii species, or the Eulopii species. However, the chance of obtaining either species was low.
- Note: There was a notification that tells players what they've won immediately after defeating the boss, however, it was sometimes difficult to catch the message, so the best way to confirm was to check for changes in the Main Menu or Shoom amount.
- The Buff Eulopii drop chance was 2.6%. This information was shared publicly with the Creatures of Sonaria Discord by a Moderator called r0adkilled, claiming the information was taken from Alertcoderf (one of the owners of the game at the time).
- Note: There was a bug where a player obtains the Buff Eulopii, but it doesn't appear in their inventory.
- Sometimes it took a while to get the Buff Eulopii species, with some players going through nearly 200 or more fights to obtain one.
Gacha
To unlock the Easter Gacha in Part 1 of the Easter Event, players must have found all four (4) artifacts and defeat the boss. Once both tasks were completed, the Easter Gacha became purchasable to players for 1,500 Shooms for a 33% chance of getting Phugu, Kyiki, and Verdant Warden. Once you obtained Verdant Warden it disappears from the Easter Gacha.
Metaverse Champions
Metaverse Champions was a Roblox event that started on April 15, 2021 and ended on May 20, 2021. It was the year's "Spring Hunt" as a rebrand of the annual egg hunt. The event was spread into four weeks, with up to 48 games a week and 10-12 for each champion, in this game, the players could win a Sparks' Secret Package 1 by founding all four artifacts and defeating the boss; it was only available during Week 1 on Sparks Kilowatt games. On May 17, 2021, the Sparks' Secret Package 1 turned into the Sparks' Coronet.
