Disaster Event 2025 (Ended)

The Disaster Event of 2025 was an event themed around the game's natural disasters. The event began on May 16^th, 2025, at 1:01 PM PDT, and ended on May 30^th, at 1:02 PM PDT. Unlike previous events of the same year, the event style returned to the traditional event missions. It was the second Disaster Event overall, succeeding the debut event in 2024.

Pre-release

On April 23^rd, 2025, a teaser calendar event was created in the Creatures of Sonaria official discord by Cinnakxll with the following description:

Part 1: Thundrake

Part 1 of the event was released on May 16^th, 2025 and introduced a new event creature, the Thundrake, along with a new natural disaster. The complete list of features added to this part are as follows:

• Return of Caldonterrus for 20,000 Shooms or by completion of its event mission.
• Return of Noctla'Lune for 10,000 Shooms or by completion of its event mission.
• Addition of Thundrake by completion of its event mission.
• Addition of the Maelstrom color palette.
• Return of the Lunar Tide, and Bolt Strike color palettes.
• Return of the Thunderstorm theme.
• Return of the Octroma, Eclipse, and Catalyst plushies.
• Addition of the Hurricane natural disaster.

Unrelated to the event, Aquatic nesting upgrades were added.

Part 2

Part 2 of the event was released on May 23^rd, 2025 and did not introduce any new or returning event creature. The complete list of features added to this part are as follows:

• Addition of the Storm Shards color palette.

Unrelated to the event, Embristiss joined the Artifact Shop rooster, certain mutation icons improved their quality, and Medal TV Clips and some small map tweaks were performed.

Missions

Three event mission were released during Part 1. The event's newest creature, the Thundrake, is obtainable through the mission system. After completion, and unlike others, each task's criteria are NOT multiplied, i.e. if something originally required 25, then it would always need 25 any other time.

Thundrake Mission (The Thundering)

• Missions:
  • Experience 3 hurricane disasters.
  • Venerate to a new stage on a Semi-Aquatic creature.
  • Complete a region mission set in Swamp Hollow.
  • Complete the Daily Mission 3 times.
  • Spin the Semi-Aquatic gacha 5 times.
• Reward: x1 Thundrake species.
• Cooldown: 24 hours.

Caldonterrus Mission (Trial by Fire)

• Missions:
  • Experience 4 volcano disasters.
  • Venerate to a new stage on a Category:Volcanic#Volcanic creature.
  • Complete a region mission set in Volcano Island.
  • Complete the Daily Mission 5 times.
  • Spin the Monster Explorer Gacha 5 times
• Reward: x1 Caldonterrus species.
• Cooldown: 12 hours.

Noctla'Lune Mission (Lunar Awakening)

• Missions:
  • Experience a Blood Moon 2 times.
  • Deal 250 points of the Bleed ailment at night. Bleed dealt by ranged abilities such as breaths does not count.
  • Complete a region mission set in Mountains.
  • Complete the Daily Mission 4 times.
• Reward: x1 Noctla'Lune species.
• Cooldown: 12 hours.

Event Shop

The Event Shop could be accessed and used from both the main menu and in-game Tab menu. It featured two tabs:

• Featured: Where a player could buy premium bundles for Robux along with whatever is featured in the Items section.
• Items: Where a player could buy all Disaster Event items aside from Thundrake, including plushies and color palettes or materials.
