This is a category for creatures/features which have been removed or scrapped, meaning it will never appear in-game. Creatures or features which actually were introduced to the game, but were later removed, are considered Old/Obsolete Content instead.
Creatures may be scrapped for:
- Having a design that does not fit the envisioned atmosphere of the game’s style.
- Presenting unnecessary difficulties during the modeling, rigging, or animating phases of development.
- Having anatomy that is too extreme and may result in excessive clipping of terrain and potential difficulties with game interactions.
- Being a very outdated concept design that has not maintained much interest.
- Being better off scrapped in favor of making room for better, newer designs instead.
- Having lost contact with the original creator of the design.
- and so on…
Note: The bullets listed are only a fraction of what’s considered in the elimination process and should only be tentatively referred to since there are unique circumstances for each creature and decision per creature.
A feature may be deemed scrapped if it was planned to be added on legacy version and a legacy content page existed, but was later added on recode, such as Legacy Burrows.
For future references, when a creature is unreleased, scrapped or unknown status, we should leave the infobox image with the concept art image, with a format similar to the following:
| image = {{PAGENAME}}ConceptArt.png
Unless it is a redesign, in which case (replace the X with the redesign number, such as Redesign1, Redesign2, etc.):
| image = {{PAGENAME}}RedesignXConceptArt.png
However, if it IS released, we should replace that line with the AutoCreatureImage template with its indicated format (even if we have no images)
| image = {{AutoCreatureImage}}
Number of scrapped pages (excluding templates): 44.
