Introduction
Gachas are the primary way for players to obtain new creatures, besides the Rotation Store, the specific event stores, and trading for them. Gacha is short for gachapon, which are capsule-toy vending machines popular in Japan, similar to loot boxes, both being "blind purchase".
Accessing the gachas goes as follows:
- Open the game.
- Click 'Shop' at the bottom of the Main Menu. A new sub-menu will appear.
- Make sure you are on the 'All Creatures' section of this new menu. If you are not, click on the 'All Creatures' button at the top left corner, and a new selection menu will appear.
- On this new selection menu, click on 'Gachas'.
- Then, use the Q and E keys (or simply click/tap the arrows) to navigate to a desired Gacha of your choice. The creatures earned from a Gacha roll are completely random. Each Gacha offers a different chance for a certain type of creature. The more specific a Gacha, the more expensive it is. Most gachas are bought with
Shooms, although some cost
Tikits.
- You can click the "-" and "+" buttons on the same gacha multiple times to roll as many times as indicated (with the additional cost of spinning the gacha more than once).
- You can skip the rolling animation by enabling the auto-skip option before rolling the gacha, or by clicking the grey skip button which appears mid-animation.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE: On Recode, there's no Time Gacha anymore, it's Time Points shop, kept on this gacha page for both legacy reasons and comparision. In order to access that new shop, you just need to select 'Time Points' at the 'All Creatures' section of the Shop.
*Note: as of June 15th, 2021, Erythia has announced in the Discord that Gacha creatures have a very high chance of being moved around, in order to take a lot of work off the devs' shoulders. This means Gacha creatures that are "worthless" as of now may become limited in the near future.*
Main Gachas
These gachas are available year-round, and contain the majority of the game's creatures.
All creatures on the diet, type and status effect gachas can also be found on the Mystery Gacha.
Diet Gachas
Main article: Gacha/Diet Gacha Drops
These gachas are the first gachas the player sees in the menu. These gachas sort creatures by what basic kinds of food they can eat; in other words, their diet - with the exclusion of photovores and photocarnivores. This category includes the following gachas:
Type Gachas
Main article: Gacha/Type Gacha Drops
Gachas that sort creatures by mobility type (ex. flying, aquatic, semi-aquatic). Each gacha sorts creatures based on what environment the creature can live in, according to the new mobility types and with all-terrain and glider semi-aquatics absorbed into fliers and semi-aquatics, respectively. The only creature types not included in this gacha type are terrestrial (grounded) and terrestrial glider creatures. This category includes the following gachas:
Status Effect Gachas
Main article: Gacha/Status Effect Gacha Drops

250 Shooms. Once the player rolls the gacha, the token will be consumed and the gacha will lock back up if the player has no more available tokens. Unlike Traveler's Gacha at its worst time, there is no cooldown between times counted for unlocking the gacha.

Master Gacha
(See also: Master Creature)
Master Gacha
Master Gacha Token
The Master Gacha is a gacha introduced in Recode. As a token gacha, it can only be spun once the player has a Master token, which given upon completing a certain set of tasks or trading. Once the player rolls the gacha, the token will be consumed, and the gacha will lock back up if the player has no more available tokens.

tikits.
The creatures in this gacha can be found on here, and chances of obtainment are equal between each one per spin.
Explorer Gachas
Main article: Gacha/Explorer Gacha Drops
The Explorer Gachas are unique in that they can only be unlocked by collecting their respective capsules (also known as tokens). Once a player collects a capsule, they can unlock the respective matching gacha and choose to roll it in exchange for that Explorer Gacha's designated Shoom cost. Only one capsule can exist on the map at a time (either Photovore, Galaxy, Mecha, or Monster), there cannot be one of each at the same time), they spawn anywhere on the map where food might also spawn, and each capsule has a unique percent chance of spawning after a player collects the currently available capsule on the map.
Tokens cannot typically be sniffed by creatures, but can easily be spotted due to the glow they produce, and they can be appraised if close enough to the object, indicating what token it is and allowing the creature to collect it by actively interacting (pressing E button).
These creatures are classified as "Exploration Special" in-game
Death Gacha
(See also: Death Gacha Creatures)
The Death Gacha is a token-based gacha, similar to Session, Boosted and Explorer gachas, requiring a token (Death Gacha Token) to roll, but instead of being found in the game world or through an explicit mission, the token must be earned by earning a high enough death score. Its contents rotate every week on Fridays at 22:00 UTC. Creatures may sometimes be paired, or go alone, meaning sometimes there could be a 100% drop chance for a specific creature, and others a 50% for one creature and 50% for another.
All creatures stemming from this gacha are tagged as "Death Gacha" in-game
Tikit-based gachas
Tikit-based gachas are those which cost
Tikits to spin.
Royalty Gacha
Royalty Gacha, November 3rd, 2023
(See also: Royalty Gacha Creatures)
The Royalty Gacha was the second tikit-based gacha introduced in Recode, but it essentially replaced the Tikit Gacha after the 3rd November 2023 so it can be considered the first. As its name suggests, the creatures in this gacha follow the theme of royalty.
Each spin costs
10 Tikits, although it has been stated by Wolfragon that this is subject to change in the future.
Celestial Gacha
Celestial Gacha, November 3rd, 2023
(See also: Celestial Gacha Creatures)
The Celestial Gacha is the second tikit-based gacha with exclusive creatures to it, and the third Tikit gacha in total. As its name suggests, the creatures in this gacha follow a celestial theme.
Each spin costs
20 Tikits, although it has been stated by Wolfragon that this is subject to change in the future.
Mystery Gacha
Mystery Gacha (Recode), 27th September 2023
The Mystery Gacha is a more expensive inheritor or Legacy's removed Random Gacha, with each spin costs
1 Tikits. As such, it has the largest pool of creatures, as it contains about every creature from the diet, mobility type and status effect gachas, without including limited, time-related, Robux, Session Gacha, Traveler Gacha, other Tikit-based gachas, Creature Mission or Secret Mission Creatures. As such, a manual list of those creatures will not be added here.
Time Points
(See also: Time Gacha Creatures)
The Time Points is the inheritor of Time Gacha and kept here for previously mentioned reasons.
Time Points
can be unlocked by actively playing the game for a certain amount of hours. The more hours you play, the more Time Currency a player can accumulate to buy higher tier Time Gachas. Time Currency is not gained when in the Main Menu. Time Currency will subtract itself from the total amount of time played each time a player buys a Time Gacha Creature.
The Time Points Creature Shop contains the following creatures:
| Time | Creature Tiers | Creature Name |
|---|---|---|
| 35 Minutes (35 |
Tier 1 | Yiepir |
| 2 Hours (120 |
Tier 3 | Aesho |

Tier 5 | Seradae |
| 300 Hours (18000 |

Robux Shop
(See also: Robux Shop Creatures)
Instead of using an in-game currency to spin, the Premium Creatures Shop, or Robux Shop (previously known as the Robux Gacha) requires
Robux to buy directly, and without spin. Creatures in this shop follow common design themes, much like the creatures within the Limited Gachas.
Time Sensitive Gachas
These gachas contain creatures which may not be available during all parts of the year, and may cycle through creatures as time goes on.
Limited Gacha
Main article: Gacha/Limited Gacha Drops
The Limited Gacha contains usually 2 creatures at a time whose designs follow a certain theme. These 2 creatures stay in the Limited Gacha for a period of time before they are cycled out for another set of 2 creatures. In order to be able to roll this gacha, the player must have 55 unique species of creatures unlocked. The current price for one roll is
2,500 Shooms. The previous and current gacha themes can be seen here.
Event Gachas
Main article: Gacha/Event Gacha Drops
Event Gachas are gachas that become available during an event. Similar to Token Gachas, they typically require a specific token to roll, however, these tokens are also temporary.
Trivia
- The Time Gacha's 50 hour Gacha originally contained Kohikii. Kohikii was eventually moved to common Gachas, and replaced by the Zwevealisk.
- Originally the Traveller's Gacha had a harsher kill count requirement: "Kill 5 creatures with each of those 2 boosted creatures (10 kills in total)". This broke the survival aspect of the game too much and forced the developers to considerably reduce it.
- The Tikit Gacha originally existed on Recode as well, and was the first tikit-based gacha introduced to that mode of gameplay . Later on the Royalty Gacha replaced it entirely after the 3rd November 2023.
- Event Gachas have yet to make an appearance in Recode, and so they remain Legacy-only gachas.
Random Gacha
The Random Gacha in Legacy before removal
On October 1st, 2021, the Random Gacha was removed from the game. This gacha was the largest pool of creatures, as it contained about every creature so long as they were not limited, time-related, Robux (or in Session Gacha). It was the cheapest gacha to roll at
35 Shooms per roll.
- Following the removal of the Random Gacha, players can still use the Random Gacha Spin Token to get the same effect of spinning from a large pool of creatures in the game, both in Legacy and Recode modes.
- Gachapon is an onomatopoeia for 'gasha/gacha', the hand-cranking action of a toy-vending machine, and 'pon' being the sound of opening the ball.
This gacha contained every creature except for the following (click [Expand]):
- Aereis
- Aolenus
- Arsonos (Locked until the player collects a Rare Scale)
- Ardor Warden
- Astrothi (Locked until the player nests someone at night during Autumn or Winter as a flier)

- Buff Eulopii
- Cottol
- Crata Peretina

- Euvias

- Faecalu
- Fyluf
- Ghibli

- Gyroudus
- Jotunhel
- Keruku
- Kyiki
- Mekmek
- Militrua (Locked until the player eats 300 food as a semi-aquatic herbivore)
- Nindyr
- Pernirex
- Phugu
- Qurugosk
- Shro
- Sleirnok
- Syroudon
- Therokis

- Verdant Warden
- Zethines (Locked until the player heals 250+ bleed as any herbivore)
- Zohdok
Photovore Gacha Mislabel
Despite it saying "Photovore", the gacha also includes all non-limited Photocarnivores and doesn't contain any limiteds from any of these two diets.
Robux Gacha Legality/Robux-Gacha creature regional rarity
Alertcoderf stating the legality of Robux gacha.
Due to Roblox TOS and some international legislations, gambling is illegal (and according to Roblox TOS only when the currency cannot be bought gambling is allowed), and Robux transactions are allowed only if when spending money you have a 100% chance of getting an (equal-value) prize. While the 150-Robux gacha always guarantees a prize (thus not really losing) and equally split in terms of probability, those prizes are not actually considered similar-enough (either objectively or subjectively via market speculation and demand, even more so the more prizes are on the same gacha), so when a player spins they may get a chance of getting the "wrong", "lesser" or "unwanted" prize, thus luring the player to spend more in order to get the wanted prize (a strategy known as gamblification).
Now, while gamblification is not considered illegal on itself, that's more because of the fact few governments have actually finished the process of debating if it's legal or not, and as such it's still considered a legal void in most regions. Still, there are a few cases worth mentioning in which the legal process has determined gamblification is effectively stated as a type of gambling when working with real currency (or Robux in this case). Internationally and according to IPOL, all the gachas on this game are considered type E-I or E-E lootboxes (Embedded-Embedded that is, currency buyable by real-money purchase and a virtually sellable reward (being able to trade the item for a price) thus giving it an speculative value), which are the most concerning type (of a total of 4, being the least concerning the I-I, Isolated-Isolated, that is, non-purchaseable with real money and not tradeable or valuable), with the Robux Gachas being the highest level of concern (since they are only directly obtainable through spending Robux) and actually considered part of gambling on several regions (in the UK and Australia you can still use them, but before playing you get a warning about that game having lootboxes in them; not only because of the gambling issue, but because they consider it definitely makes the players stay far longer close to the screen than other monetization methods and thus it's not considered healthy). Type E (only real money)-E gachas of this kind are thus considered illegal and then (according to the devs) the robux-gacha is disabled on regions such as Belgium (for them it's considered Embedded if it has any kind of real value to the player), the Netherlands (for them it's Embedded if it can be marketable or transferable to another player), Slovakia, China, South Korea and even Japan. Because of that detail, Robux-Gacha-creatures were significantly rarer in those regions.
Due to how after a few years it no longer became a legal void in quite several areas and actually quite illegal, Sonar Studios decided to scrap the Robux gacha and replace it by a Robux shop; which now means the more expensive Robux Shop creature will be quite rare, but no longer according to region.
