So I'm like. not an old player. so I was absolutely shook to learn that. People used to be SO hyped over glimmer. and appearantly they once thought that jot was never gonna come back? all sorts of value antics. I feel like im looking through ancient history . also being super careful to not touch posts from 2021 because that would be weird.
I know there are old people here tell me more things that will make me shook.
yeah
the volacnic themed slot is on sale, it has shimmer and is completely pure :]
Trading Hellion (10k) and jotunhel(5k) for it. Please galiryn is like 13k max it's a huge overpay😭

It’s been a little while, it’s been even longer since I created one of these. My inner theorist couldn't stop thinking about the origin of sonarias species, even though I haven't played the game in a good while.
Welcome to this anatomy study! In this study I'm going to do something similar to the Akorbik study, but you'll have to read further to find out what I mean.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
“Reviiaton is a very fast swimmer, but with little defense due to the fact that there is nothing to protect it in its body. Its way of attacking is encircling its attacker with its swift speed to confuse it.” -Sonaria Wiki
“Axothans are large axolotl-like creatures with two pairs of large fins used to power themselves through water. They are elusive as they are always on the move foraging.” -Sonaria Wiki
While for the most part these descriptions are pretty good, they obviously miss out on a few very important features. A notable feature of both are the feathers that extend from their limbs, tails and the base of the head.
SPECIES RELATION
In no way does this allude to an interspecies relationship, this section will be used to explain how these species fit in a more taxonomical sense.
Axothan and Reviiaton look very similar, and I don't think that's a coincidence. These species share many common traits, and I think that hints at them being closely related, kind of like how Tigers and Lions are.
There are a few reasons on how these species relate, but i think the most plausible answer is either:
Reviiaton is a more basic form of axothan. As in Axothan is just a more advanced form of Reviiaton.
OR
Both species share a common ancestor, and only split into the two species fairly recently in sonarian history.
PROCESS OF ELIMINATION
In this section I'm going to eliminate all the possible origins for these species.
FISH
This ones pretty easy to eliminate, fish have a very “basic” anatomy, none of Axo&Revii’s features match a fish.
AMPHIBIAN
A lot of people believe Axothan to be an Axolotl, that's just not the case.
Axolotls have very small and basic eyes at the front of the head.
Axothan has “advanced” eyes towards the rear of the head.
Axolotls have small limbs NOT used for swimming, the swimming is done with the tall flat tail.
Axothan uses its massive feathered limbs for swimming, and its tail is wide and flat.
Axolotls have a “slow”: existence, they are rather relaxed and take things at a slow pace.
Axothan is fast and agile, nothing like an amphibian.
Axolotls like all living amphibians CANNOT live in a salt-water environment. Their skin is far too thin to keep the salt from entering their body and in turn DEHYDRATING and killing them.
Axothan can survive the ocean :)
MAMMAL
This one is definitely harder to eliminate, but the headshapes and tails of Axothan and Reviiaton look very different to mammals. Mammals also possess flesh cheeks around the mouth, that's not present on these creatures.
AQUATIC REPTILE (mesozoic aquatic reptiles)
Aquatic reptiles don't have the feather structures present on these Sonarian creatures, And one major difference is how aquatic reptiles have their noses on the top of the skull, something that Axothan completely goes against.
REPTILES
Reptiles for the vast most part are cold blooded, meaning they need external warmth for their body. Axothan and Reviiaton do not need external heat (from what is seen), so we can confirm they are not a traditional reptile.
ALIEN
In reality, aliens would look NOTHING like the animals of earth. All animals on earth are created with similar body plans. Real aliens (if they do exist) would be designed in a completely different way, as a response to the very different environments.
The chances of an organism from another planet looking uncannily similar to lie on earth is next to impossible.
LET THE CRAZY CRACKPOT THEORIST OUT
Now that we have eliminated the possible origins, it's time I explain what I think Axothan and Reviiaton really are.
Axothan & Reviiaton are THEROPOD DINOSAURS
Now I know how absolutely crazy I must sound, but please let me explain myself.
NOW LET ME EXPLAIN MYSELF
Allow me to go through and explain the anatomical similarities between the two.
Starting with the head.
HEAD
The heads of these two species are very similar to the Theropods.
While not identical to any specific theropod, the head shapes of these species resemble theropods to a great extent. These species have the basic skull plan but slightly altered to fit their new aquatic lifestyle.
The eyes have gotten bigger, that helps in the low light environment the ocean can create.
The Majority of feathers are compacted down to the body, which helps the animal become streamlined (move through the water easier).
The nostrils on Axothan are very small, which makes it easier for the animal to not intake water.
Many of the “crests” on the species heads can be a result of soft tissues, no one actually knows what soft tissues were present on large theropods. So most structures aren't outside the realm of possibility.
LIMBS
The limbs of Axothan and Reviiaton are very similar to birds (which are themselves a group of theropods), But I don't mean modern birds, I'm referring to the “first” of the birds which possessed claws on their wings.
Axothan and Reviiaton dont even need to be birds to have wings, many other theropods had wings. Even the joints in the wing line up almost exactly.
Axothan’s “wings” are definitely different from the wings of theropods, but that can be a result of the environment it lives in. Penguin wings look NOTHING like the wings of other theropods due to the penguins lifestyle. I can see axothan being in a “Transitional state” between a penguin's “flipper wing” and a traditional wing structure.
Fun Fact: The webbing-like structure at the base of Axothan’s wings resembles that of Yiqi.
TAIL AND OVERALL SHAPE
The tail of these creatures resembles that of many feathered theropod depictions, as it possesses a tail fan. A feathered structure similar to a wing yet does not assist with the powered flight
The overall structure of these creatures is very similar to the body plan of Microraptor and other similar animals.
I can see Axothan having adaptations to live in the ocean creating the differences in the comparison.
TAXONOMIC PLACEMENT
It is impossible to create a completely plausible taxonomic placement for these creatures. I can say with relative confidence that Axothan and Reviiaton are descendants of theropods adapted to ocean life. They have features that appear from across the theropod groupings, so the exact lineage is quite difficult to pinpoint.
WHY GO AQUATIC?
I'm sure this question must’ve come up while reading, and while I have no idea why, I have a couple theories.
MASS EXTINCTION
At some point, an extinction event kills off the large oceanic predators. The theropods of the area take this opportunity and start adapting to hunting in the ocean. After a long time, we get the Reviiaton, a highly specialised theropod adapted to this new environment. Its cousin (or descendant) is Axothan, it’s even specialised for the water even more than the Reviiaton, to the point it looks almost like an Axolotl more than its Theropod origins.
NICHE PARTITIONING
No mass extinction takes place, but the right opportunity presents itself and a few theropods adapt to an aquatic lifestyle. They inhabit areas and niches that weren't already filled by the current oceanic predators.
I like the first theory much more, it makes more sense in a real life scenario, But the second makes more sense in Sonaria.
COLOUR INVESTIGATION
AXOTHAN
Axothans colours don't really make sense, animals only have bright colours for intimidations and attraction (for mates, not prey). Axothan might use its colours for these purposes, but it has far too many colorful areas to justify this.
REVIIATON
Much more realistic, Reviiaton even possesses countershading! Countershading is where the animal is lighter on the bottom and darker on top, it helps the animal blend into the environment. Think of Penguins, Orcas, Sharks and various other seabirds and aquatic animals. Reviiaton’s red colour can serve as intimidation or attraction, and its positioning on the body makes sense for these purposes.
GENERAL CONCLUSION
Reviiaton and Axothan are very good and well made creatures. Said creatures are Theropod dinosaurs, and NOT any kind of amphibian.
These creatures are very specialised for their environment with proper adaptations.
ACCURACY SCORE
Reviiaton: 9/10
Axothan: 5/10 (The colours really bring it down)
But that's just a study, AN ANATOMY STUDY
OUTRO & FUTURE PLANS
Thank you for reading this whole study, I’m sorry I didn't go into the amount of detail that's expected of me, I'm a little rusty after all.
Thank you so much to everyone that supports these studies, it means a lot.
I might go back into making these studies. I really do enjoy studying biology and the natural world, but I'm not sure if I want to come back to the wiki after all that's happened…

İ kill a player but their meat vanishes in only 2 seconds? Why ;-; Nobody eats all of it.
Some servers are like this idk why
with the laharpes redesign announcement ive seen a few posts complaining how it might be "another glider", but i dont see the problem with that? am i missing out on something?? currently we only have 16 gliders , out of 372 creatures. 16/372. thats 4%. fliers take up 27% of the total creatures, with 101/372.
It doesnt make sense to me? Is it a hatred for the playstyle? Because honestly I prefer gliders over fliers and we should have more of them in my opinion!!! Seriously, WHAT am I missing?
